Local Inventor Wins Gold Medal for Save The Chairs!™ Chair Cover at America's Largest Invention Show
Atlanta, June 12, 2006...Karen Nadler-Sachs, of Dunwoody, Georgia, exhibited her patent-pending adjustable chair cover at INPEX, America’s largest invention show last week, and returned home triumphant. She received the gold medal in the household category – the largest category at the show.

Amongst other memorable experiences, Nadler-Sachs met Francisco Patino and other finalists on ABC' American Inventor. Patino kindly examined her invention and offered his marketing suggestions. In addition, Nadler-Sachs pitched her product to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, received enthusiastic interest from the Electronic Retailers Association, and was able to have questions answered by local businesswoman Sarah Blakely of SPANX. "The entire experience affirmed my belief in my product. Although some critics say there are no ugly babies (inventions), I now have more cause to believe that I have a real beauty on my hands!" said Nadler-Sachs.

Although slipcovers are typically used simply to redecorate in the home, Nadler-Sachs had bigger ideas than that. Due to the constant messes her young daughter created every time she ate, Nadler-Sachs needed a labor-saving device that would eliminate the need to clean the chairs incessantly. So she created the "Save The Chairs!™ chair cover, which is laminated with urethane, eliminating spills from soaking through the chair cover onto the chair. But better yet, it is completely adjustable to provide a custom-tailored look to almost any-size dining room or kitchen chair. This invention would be ideal for caregivers of young children, the elderly and the disabled...or really anyone who just wants a more custom-looking slipcover.

Nadler-Sachs is currently seeking manufacturing in China, and expects to have the product on the market by the beginning of 2007.

Georgia Inventor to Exhibit "Save The Chairs! Chair Cover" at America's Largest Invention Show
PITTSBURGH, April 27, 2006...INPEX, America's Largest Invention Trade Show, announces that Karen Nadler-Sachs, from Dunwoody, Ga., has invented a chair cover to protect dining room and kitchen chairs from spills. This invention will be exhibited at INPEX, June 7-10, in Pittsburgh.

Chair covers create a welcoming appearance in the home, but they can be costly or ineffective if something is spilled. The "Save The Chairs! Chair Cover" would adjust to fit any size dining chair. It is also fused with an impermeable lining to help eliminate spills from soaking through the chair cover onto the chair. According to the inventor, this could save someone the cost of having to have custom chair covers made. It would be easily removed from the chair for machine washing, and it saves the user from clean-up labor. This invention would be ideal for caregivers of young children, the elderly and the disabled.

The Save The Chairs! Chair Cover is made of a cotton fabric, and fused with urethane to prevent spills. Adjustable to fit any chair, an individual would slide the cover onto the chair, and adjust it as needed. It resembles a custom-made slipcover.

The inventor created the chair cover because of an experience with her young daughter. "My daughter is constantly spilling things onto the chairs in the dining room and kitchen," she said. "I wanted to make clean-up easier."

Nadler-Sachs is exhibiting at INPEX with the hopes of finding a licensee or distributor.

INPEX, The Invention Show, is a unique trade show that showcases new products and innovations that are available to business and industry to manufacture, license or distribute.
